For the past 7 years, Cathopic has been dedicated to providing free, high-quality Catholic content to our users. It has been an incredible journey, but with growth comes challenges, and we have encountered a significant one: sustaining our beloved project.
From the beginning, our mission has been clear: to offer a vast array of Catholic multimedia and serving the Church while ensuring fair compensation for our talented creators. However, as Cathopic continued to grow, so did the resources required to maintain it. We explored several alternatives, including donations, in an effort to keep the project afloat. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, donations alone were not enough to sustain our operations.
After much contemplation, we made the decision to transition to a paid model. This decision was not taken lightly, but we believe it is the most sustainable path forward for Cathopic. By implementing a paid model, we can ensure fair compensation for our creators while also generating the necessary revenue to support the continued growth and development of our platform.
We understand that this transition may come as a surprise to some of our users, but please know that it was made with careful consideration and with the long-term sustainability of Cathopic in mind. We have worked diligently to create affordable pricing plans that are accessible to all, ensuring that our valuable resources remain within reach of everyone in our community.
