JHS Monogram: Jesus Man Saviour

The monogram JHS (or IHS) is derived from the first three letters of Jesus in Greek (ΙΗΣΟΥΣ, ΙΗΣ) and, although its origin is linguistic, it is popularly interpreted in Latin as "Iesus Hominum Salvator" (Jesus, Saviour of Men).
